Double Exposure
My double exposure picture compared to my selfie picture that I completed in the beginning of the year shows how far I have come in this class. It shows all the progress I have made and how I know possess a lot of skills involving photography and editing, that I didn't have before. My selfie portrait was a very simple assignment where you put multiple pictures over each other but the double exposure portrait was much more complicated and involved hiding layers and changing the opacity. The double exposure picture is definitely more impressive and you can tell from just viewing it that it is more professional than the other picture. I really enjoyed doing this project because I was able to see for myself how far I have come and I liked how I merged a selfie of myself and a background that has significance to me, together.
Selfie
I want my selfie portrait collage to convey who I am and the things that I like. As my background layer, I have one of my favorite drinks ever, La Croix. I saw a ton of them in a cooler and thought they looked so pretty because of the bright colors. On top of the La Croix is a selfie I took of myself before I went out to dinner downtown, it shows who I am on the outside. I erased the background so you just see my face and not anything else. The next three pictures are the top layer, they are objects that show things that I love. These pictures include my dog, my soccer cleats, and my nails which I love to get done. For this layer I changed the opacity to make the pictures appear softer and to not stand out more than my selfie. This collage shows who I am on the inside and out, I included a few pictures of some things that I love, looking at this picture you get to see a little bit more about me.
